Gregory A. Gordillo
Gregory A. Gordillo has focused his practice on employment law since he graduated in the top 5% of his class at Cleveland Marshall College of Law. After a successful eight-year association with one of Ohio's largest law firms, Greg opened his own law offices in Cleveland and North Royalton, Ohio in 2001. He has successfully represented both employers and employees by providing counseling to avoid litigation and advocacy when litigation was inevitable.
Greg has published numerous articles on trial procedure and employment laws. His work has been cited and relied on by the New Jersey Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, which determines federal law for Connecticut, New York, and Vermont. He was one of only 30 trial lawyers selected from across the country to attend the American Bar Association's First National Trial Academy. He has served as Vice-Chair of the Trial Techniques Committee for the American Bar Association's Torts and Insurance Practice Section. He has also been invited to speak at trial tactics and employment law related seminars across the country.
A recognized leader among Ohio employment lawyers, Greg was recently nominated to serve on the Executive Board of the National Employment Lawyers Association. He currently serves as a member of the Section Council that leads The Ohio State Bar Association's Labor and Employment Law Section. Greg also has been the featured speaker in the Cleveland Bar Association's Trial Superstar Series, and he is a past Chair of the Cleveland Bar Association's Labor and Employment Law Section. He also currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Cleveland State University's Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, and he is a frequent speaker throughout Ohio on many different employment and litigation topics.
In the Fall of 2005, Greg was named as one of the Masters of the Bench for the Cleveland Employment Law Inn of Court. The Cleveland Employment Law Inn of Court is a chapter of the American Inns of Court. With approximately 80 members, The Cleveland Employment Inn of Court is the only bar organization in Northeast Ohio that is solely comprised of attorneys who practice employment law along with local judges and law professors. The Mission of the American Inns of Court is to foster excellence in professionalism, ethics, civility, and legal skills. Masters of the Bench are the members of the Inn that are deemed to have the highest level of expertise and fulfill the role of being a mentor to the other members of the Inn who fall in the categories of being a "Barrister", "Associate", or "Pupil".
